Function
Like all modern insulation glasses, GLASTHERM® is fitted with an invisible, extremly
thin metal coating that both insulates and conducts heat. When connecting it to power
supply, the metal coating creates an electromagnetic radiation in the infrared range.
The electrical connection consists of two wires at the edge of the glass panes which
disappear into the window frame.
The inner window pane is made of GLASTHERM®’s high-quality toughened safety glass guaranteeing the stability of the insulation glass at temperature fluctuations. The glass is available in a thickness of four, six and eight millimetres and the heater can be fitted into all types of insulation glasses. It can be altered to match coloured or ornamented glass as well as glass fillings for extra insulation.
The spacer is a thermal profile which is made of a non-conductive material, available in the colours white, gray or black.
